The Student Council inaugural ceremony of Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangaluru, was held on 19th July 2025 at Ambedkar Bhavan, Mangaluru. Capt. Brijesh Chowta, MP for Mangaluru Constituency, highlighted the crucial role of youth in nation-building. He emphasized that educated youth with life skills and academic knowledge can lead and contribute to India's development across various fields.
The event also featured a felicitation ceremony honoring academically accomplished students. Chief guest Shri S.L. Bhoje Gowda, Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council, lauded the Nitte group of institutions for their societal contributions and emphasized the importance of humility, human values and pride in one’s land, language and culture for building a strong nation. The institution's annual magazine, 'Vividha' was also released on the occasion.
Principal, Dr. Naveen Shetty K highlighted the institution’s commitment to holistic education and emphasized that education goes beyond the confines of classrooms and is deeply rooted in the overall personality development of students. He thereafter administered the oath to the newly elected student leaders. Manvith D was elected as Student President and Diya R Rai as Student Secretary.
This was followed by various cultural programs that added vibrancy to the event. The program began with an invocation by Shreya & Aksha invoking the blessings of the almighty, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Supriya. Ms. Chaitra Bekal, English lecturer, compered the event and Diya delivered the vote of thanks.
