The Department of Periodontology organized a Dental Check-Up and Awareness Camp at Swastika Waterfront on 19th October 2025 to promote preventive oral care and support the early detection of dental problems.
Postgraduate students conducted comprehensive oral health screenings and identified individuals requiring further treatment, under the guidance of faculty members - Prof. (Dr) Amitha Ramesh, Prof. (Dr) Biju Thomas, Prof. (Dr) Rahul Bhandary and Prof. (Dr) Avaneendra Talwar.
As part of the initiative, chlorhexidine mouthwash and Parodontax toothpaste were distributed to attendees. The camp played a significant role in enhancing oral health awareness, particularly among children and was attended by approximately 50 participants.
