The NSS Unit of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, in collaboration with SDM Pre-University College, Ujire successfully conducted a one-day workshop, Apathbandhu - First Aid and Emergency Training for NSS Volunteers on 15th October 2025 at Ratnatraya Sabhangana, SDM College campus, Ujire.
Dr. Neetha Kamath K, HoD Community Health Nursing, NUINS inaugurated the program, which was presided over by Mr. Pramod Kumar B, Principal SDM PU College Ujire. The resource persons Mr. Sukesh, Dr. Sarita T F, Mrs. Jeevitha, Mrs. Keerthimala K and Dr. Neetha Kamath provided comprehensive training on essential first aid skills, covering topics such as application of bandages, management of electric shock & haemorrhage, snake / dog / insect bite management, seizure & unconsciousness management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
