On 2nd October 2025, Dr MRSM English Medium High School paid heartfelt tribute to the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on the occasion of his 156th birth anniversary.
As a mark of honour, students read sacred verses from the Bhagavad Gita, Bible and Quran, symbolizing Gandhiji’s deep respect for all faiths. The All Faith Prayer and soulful bhajans culminated in a moving rendition of his favourite hymn, Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram, echoing the spirit of unity and devotion.
Ms Rithya Raghavendra Sanil and Master Allan Shobith of Class 10 eloquently shared the significance of the day, reminding everyone of Gandhiji’s timeless teachings and their relevance in today’s world. In a fitting tribute to Gandhiji’s vision of Swachh Bharat, students enthusiastically participated in a cleanliness drive across the school campus. The initiative was led by the Principal, Ms Shreelatha Rao, whose inspiring presence set the tone for collective action and civic responsibility.
The event was a beautiful blend of reflection, reverence and responsibility - an embodiment of Gandhiji’s ideals brought to life by the young torchbearers of our nation.
