The Department of Mental Health Nursing, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, organized a visit to Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, Kerala on 30th September 2025 in observance of World Alzheimer’s Day.
Mrs. Prathima Sherigarthy, Lecturer, Mental Health Nursing, coordinated and led the visit.
The students interacted with the residents through various recreational and engaging activities, creating a joyful and compassionate atmosphere. The session brought meaningful insights into the importance of empathy, understanding and support for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
