The Intubation Skills Workshop organized by Incīsiō, the Undergraduate General Surgery Club of KSHEMA was held on 24th February 2026 at the Surgery Seminar Hall, Academic Block.
The session was led by Dr. Prabakar Dharmeswaran. Consultant Anaesthetist at New Cross Hospital, UK and focused on developing knowledge, technical skills and clinical confidence in safe airway management. In the hands-on simulation-based training session, participants were introduced to the components of the endotracheal tube, airway adjuncts such as oropharyngeal (OPA) and nasopharyngeal (NPA) airways, and were guided through the indications, preparation and step-by-step technique of endotracheal intubation using a video laryngoscope. Emphasis was placed on clinical decision-making, adaptability and patient safety, with all participants receiving hands-on practice.
