The KSHEMA NSS Unit in collaboration with the K.S.Hegde Hospital Blood Bank is conducting a blood donation camp on 14th June 2014 to recognise and celebrate “World Blood Donor Day”. This is being held at Blood Bank, K S Hegde Hospital, Deralakatte, Mangalore. The blood donation will start at the KSHEMA Blood Bank from 8.30am onwards. Interested donors are requested to register their names at the KSHEMA Blood Bank (No: 08242204471-76 extension 2232) or KSHEMA NSS Unit Programme officer (Contact No: 09448115617) It is a call to all volunteers to come forward to donate blood.
This year’s WHO theme for blood donation is “Safe blood for saving mother” and the slogan is “Give blood to those who give life”. A unit of blood will go a long way to save a patient while it will cost nothing but compassion for fellow beings. On the same occasion, KSHEMA NSS Unit is opening a registry to maintain the records of the voluntary blood donors for future reference and use.
