Department of Psychiatry, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy observed " WORLD SCHIZOPHRENIA DAY" on 30th May-2014 and the programme was inaugurated by Dr. Prakash P.S, Vice Dean , K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and presided over by Dr. Karuana Ramesh Kumar, Medical superintendent, Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital. Around 125 Patient and their care takers participated. Dr. Shrinivasa Bhat , Asso. Professor, Dept of Psychiatry , Dr. Aneesh bhat, Asst. Professor , Dept. of Psychiatry and Dr. Santosh Prabhu, Asst. Professor, Department of Psychiatry addressed gathering and they gave information regarding the illness and the medication for it. The students inspired them by playing a skit.
