Joy Elvine Martis hailing from Miyar Village, Karkala has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy in English by Rayalaseema University, Kurnool on 11th February 2019. He successfully defended his thesis on the topic “Sin and Contrition from the Perspectives of Humanism and Psychoanalysis in the writings of Nathaniel Hawthorne” under the guidance of Dr. Lourdusamy, former Chairman, PG Dept of English, St Aloysius College, presently Academic Advisor, Milagres College. Joy is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.
