Workshop held on the occasion of "World Women's Day" - KSHEMA

Dr Ankeeta Menona Jacob, Asst. Professor, Department of Community Medicine, was invited as a Resource Person for the Workshop held on the occasion of "World Women's Day", where she delivered a talk on "Cancer Awareness". The program was organised by the District Small Scale Industries Association for their women employees. The Chief Guest of the function was Ms Vathika Pai, Former President of Canara Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Competitions in cooking and flower arrangement were also held. Dr. Ankeeta spoke about the most common cancers affecting women - breast and cervical cancer and enlightened the audience about early diagnosis through breast self-examination and pap smear.
