“Khapa-chan ki Khoj” - exhibition on Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat was organised at Dr. MRSM English Medium School, Thokur to promote the interest of students in their neighbouring states / UTs and understand their culture. Since Karnataka is paired with Ladakh this year, students conducted a khoj (search) on the Union Territory, exploring and showcasing various aspects such as language learning, culture, traditions, music, landscapes, agriculture, handicrafts, cuisine and sports.
Ms. Surekha R Bhat, Principal, Canara CBSE School, inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the dedicated and meticulous work of the students. Principal, Ms. Shreelatha Rao, welcomed the gathering and gave a bird’s eye view of the exhibition. PTA President, Mr. Pushparaj Chowta opined that events like these at the school level help students learn about the rich cultural diversity of India.
A group song on ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara' and dance form of Ladakh, “Shondol" and “Kompa Tsum-Tsag” were presented to entertain the audience.
Students from neighbouring schools & parents went through the models and commended the exceptional work done by the students of MRSM.
