The World Pharmacist Day held on 25th September 2024 at Avishkar Hall with the theme – “Pharmacists meeting global health needs” was not just an event but a celebration of commitment, knowledge and the true spirit of pharmacy.
Prof. (Dr) Narayana Charyulu officially welcomed the gathering and emphasized the role of pharmacists in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. A key highlight of the event was the recognition of distinguished pharmacists, who were honored with awards for their outstanding contributions to the profession. Mr. Mahesh Kalyanpur and Mr. Jayapraveena Shetty were honoured with the Distinguished Pharmacist Award.
The guests delivered insightful speeches, emphasizing the evolving role of pharmacists in patient care and public health. Principal Prof. (Dr) C S Shastry reflected on the institution's commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical education and encouraged students to actively participate in community service & stay engaged with the advancements in the field. Winners of the quiz competition held in conjunction with the World Pharmacist Day celebrations, were honoured. The program concluded with National anthem.
