The NSS Unit of Nitte University celebrated Swachhatha Divas on 9th October 2024 at Vimshati Bhavan, 7th Floor, ABSMIDS, Deralakatte. On this occasion, the Nitte Safai Mitra Suraksha Scheme was inaugurated, alongside a Free Kshema Health Card (KHC) Camp and a Free Medical Camp for the Safai workers of Kotekar Town Panchayath. A cleaning drive was also conducted as part of the Swachhata Divas celebrations.
During the program, the Vice-Chancellor distributed KHCs, benefitting 24 Safai workers. The Health Card Distribution program aimed to provide essential and accessible healthcare benefits to beneficiaries, offering various medical facilities and enabling easy access to healthcare services. This initiative represented a significant step towards promoting improved healthcare services within the community.
