Undeterred by the scorching mid-morning sun, the student volunteers worked tirelessly to collect 60 bags of waste, comprising plastic bottles, old footwear, paper litter, diapers and other non-biodegradable materials. The effort served as a strong reminder that “picking up trash is far more difficult than spilling it,” underscoring the urgent need for responsible waste management.
The program was organized in collaboration with Grama Panchayath Kodi, Shetty Agro Centre, Airodyand the NGO Baeru Coast Clear, Saasthana, who extended vital support in the smooth execution of the event and facilitated the safe disposal of the collected waste.
Adding to the spirit of collective service, the generous management of Marnakatte Shri Brahmalingeshwara Temple graciously arranged breakfast and lunch for all volunteers.
