The Annual Sports Meet of Dr. Nitte Shankara Adyanthaya Memorial Pre-University College was held at the Mangala Stadium, Mangaluru on 16-10-2025. Inaugurating the event, Sri Venkataramana Asranna, Chief priest of Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple highlighted the importance of sports in maintaining both physical and mental well-being. He said, “A healthy body is essential for a happy mind. When we expose ourselves to the sun, we absorb the energy of the Sun God, who inspires all living beings. Sports make this possible. The youth of today should spend time outdoors and engage in sports - not only to enhance their health but also to develop a true sporting spirit". Presiding over the event, Dr. Naveen Shetty K., Principal encouraged students to take part in various sports and co-curricular activities. He said, “Participation is the first step to victory. Defeat is never permanent; just as light follows darkness, Perseverance leads to success.” The event began with a march past and parade by students, followed by several track and field events. The Annual Sports Meet concluded successfully, spreading the message of discipline, teamwork and the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and body through sports.
