The Placement Cell of Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research organized a lecture on “Profile Building & Exploring Global Perspectives” on 14th November 2025 to create awareness about international academic prospects. The session aimed to familiarize students with international education systems, application procedures and global career trends. Ms. Priya K from Planet Education, Mangalore was the resource person for the session.
The session began with an introduction to profile building, during which the speaker highlighted the key components of a strong student profile, including academic performance, internships, project work, professional certifications, volunteering activities and notable achievements. The importance of maintaining a well-structured CV and developing a professional digital portfolio, especially on platforms like LinkedIn were emphasized. The discussion covered essential skill development for international careers, focusing on effective communication, critical thinking and leadership abilities. Students were encouraged to actively participate in internships, online certification courses, research activities and various competitions to further strengthen their profiles.
